Sharing God’s Words with Minister Pearl

– Making Good Friends

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” — Proverbs 13:20

We build relationship with others as early as we were 18 months old. We have learned much knowledge on relationship. Everyone must understand the importance of making friends. We tend to become similar to those who we are getting along with.

Friends are our companies and friendship casts out our loneliness. God hopes us to live with other people. We should not live alone. Particularly we should build up the relationship with those who help us be closer to God. Either an experienced follower of Jesus or a new believer explores can help us to explore God more. His/her excitement in the Lord is contagious to other people.

Maturity in faith means that we need to end some stupid relationships. Any friendship should not ruin our relationship with God. These unwelcome relationships often expose our blind spots: our blind spots are our weaknesses. We can ask God to send someone into our lives to help us pursue Godly characters. If we want to become wise, we should aim to associate with wise people. These friendships show us our blind spots and draw closer to God!

Health Care

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”— Ecclesiastes 3:11a

“Eat radishes in winter and ginger in summer, and the doctor doesn’t need to prescribe a prescription!” Some people say that ginger is hot, and eating it in winter can warm your body; some people say that ginger can sweat, and you should eat more in summer; Do not eat ginger in the autumn of the year… In fact, you can eat ginger every day throughout the year.

Ginger has many useful ingredients. It dispels cold, nourishes blood, and dehumidifies. For example, in the rainy day of the spring, drinking more ginger water can dehumidify our bodies. When you got a cold, ginger brings the curative effect like increasing appetite, preventing abdominal pain, and bloating. According to traditional Chinese medicine, ginger returns to the lung and spleen meridian. Gingerol in ginger can effectively stimulate the secretion of gastric juice, excite the intestines, promote digestion, strengthen the stomach, and increase appetite.

Ginger can invigorate blood and raise “yang”. However, those who with “yin” deficiency should not eat more ginger. Eating too much ginger may cause those who with yin deficiency to have dry skin, upset and irritability, and poor sleep. While ginger is pungent and warm, people with yin deficiency will aggravate the symptoms of yin deficiency.

Hepatitis patients should not eat ginger. Ginger is a condiment for both medicine and food. Its main components are volatile oil, gingerol, resin and starch. Spoiled ginger also contains safrole. Gingerol and safrole can cause degeneration and necrosis of liver cells in patients with hepatitis, as well as interstitial tissue proliferation and inflammatory infiltration, resulting in abnormal liver function. Therefore, it is recommended that patients with hepatitis do not eat or eat less ginger.

Let me introduce to you my favorite sweet and sour ginger
Production Method:
1. Soak the ginger in salt water for 20 minutes, then wash the surface (do not scrape the skin, the ginger skin is more effective)
2. After the water is boiled, steam it in a pot for 10 minutes, take it out, dry it and cut it into thin slices
3. Put the aged rice vinegar and rock sugar (you can also add some brown sugar) into a clean, oil-free, sealable glass container. It can be eaten after 5-7 days. Take 3-5 tablets every morning.
4. The ginger juice of sweet and sour ginger can be used to marinate meat or make cold dishes.
