In 2021, the Spring of Salvation was led by Rev. Pearl Liao and Elder Abraham Lin with some others to receive the vision given by God, through the confirmation by God’s word in Isaiah 12:2-3
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”
We are willing to respond to God’s call with faith, and with a humble and obedient attitude, for spreading God’s great love and gospel truth.

Rev. Pearl Liao

Rev. Pearl Liao graduated from Taipei First Girls’ High School and National Chengchi University with the major in banking, and then pursued and hold a master’s degree in Management of Business Administration and the other master’s degree in Management of Information System from the Baruch college in City University of New York. She has worked in the financial industry in the Wall Trade Center and the Wall Street as a software automation tester. In 2015, she was called by God to study at the Alliance Theological Seminary, Alliance University, NY. She obtained the Master of Divinity in 2020. In 2022, she passed the qualification of being ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Reformed Church of America (referred to as the RCA). She becames a licensed preacher and minister. By God’s grace, Pearl was ordained as a Pastor/Reverend under the recognition of the Spring of Salvation Church and the Ordination Council.

Rev. Pearl and her husband, Elder Hongjen Abraham Lin, have been serving the church faithfully for more than 20 years. They have great compassion for preaching the gospel and teaching brothers and sisters to live out God’s words. In 2021, they are moved by God to start the ministry of the Spring of Salvation, which will be dedicated to the inner work and outer pouring of the Holy Spirit, so that people can receive Christ’s salvation by His grace, restore their lives and relationship, and their broken hearts can be healed and released by the power of Word and the work of the Holy Spirit. Rev. Pearl hopes that each child of God can live out God’s calling to follow Jesus Christ to glorify Him.

Elder Abraham Lin

Dr. Hongjen Abraham Lin graduated from the Department of Finance of National Taiwan University, and received his master’s degree in the Institute of Financial Management of National Sun Yat-Sen University. Later, he went to the United States to obtain a Ph.D. in management science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also taught in Stony Brook University, Alliance University and Queens College of CUNY. He is currently an associate professor and deputy chair of finance at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.

Elder Hongjen Lin believed in Jesus Christ when he was in college. He has served as co-worker and as a church leader to share the responsibility of preaching and pastoral care in the church for many years. He has been an Preaching Elder with teaching and language gifts. He can preach in four languages: Chinese, English, Taiwanese and Cantonese. He is the Executive Director of the American Association for Chinese Studies, dedicated to exploring the evangelical factors in Chinese history, culture and society. He is not only a humble brother who loves the Lord, but also a good husband and father who loves his wife and daughters. He preaches and serves the Lord with his wife, Rev. Pearl Liao. This couple walk together with one heart in the ministry of the Spring of Salvation. They have two lovely daughters, and both of them love Lord Jesus, too.
